Overview

The Application Settings dialog can be invoked from the Settings option displayed in the Home page as shown in the screen-shot given below,

From the More Actions -> Application Settings option displayed when you open the application, as shown below:

Modify Application Name/Application Link Name

By default, the Zoho Creator application name and application link name are the same. If the application name contains white spaces, it is replaced by a "hypen" in the application link name. For  example, if the application name is "Employee Manager", the default application link name is "employee-manager".

Zoho Creator provides the flexibility to modify the application name or the application link name, anytime by specifying the new name in the Application Settings dialog. Click Save button to save the changes.

Make Application Private/Public

An application created in Zoho Creator can either be public or private. All forms and views in a public application is accessible by public visitors. A private application can be accessed only if the owner of the application shares it with specific users, from the Share tab. By default, an application created in Zoho Creator is private.

Zoho Creator provides the flexibility to make your entire application as public/private,  by selecting the Private/Public option from the Application Settings dialog. Click Save button to save the changes.

Allow HTML Tags

To execute HTML tags in field values set the "Allow HTML Tags option to "Yes" in the Application Settings dialog. To stop executing HTML tags, set the "Allow HTML Tags option to "No". Click Save button to save the configurations.

For example, the html tags <br> or  \n used to insert line breaks in field values
, will be executed only if the "Allow HTML Tags" option is set to "Yes".

Set Date Format

Zoho Creator supports multiple date formats. To set a date format for your application, select the required format from the Date Format drop-down list in the Application Settings dialog. The default date format is "dd-MMM-yyyy". Click Save button to save the configurations.

Provide Edit Permission

If a shared user is configured as a "developer", the developer's email ID will be listed in the  "Provide Edit permission to" drop down of the Application Settings dialog, for all the applications. To provide edit permission to the developer to edit a specific application, the owner should go to the Application Settings of that particular application and under the dropdown "Provide Edit permission to" choose the developer's ID. Click Save button to save the configurations.   

Set Time Zone

Zoho Creator supports various Time Zones. Users have the flexibility of choosing different Time Zones for each application that they create in Zoho Creator. To set the required time zone, select the time zone relevant to your locale from Time Zone dropdown menu in the Application Settings dialog. Click Save button to save the configurations.  

Access through HTTPS

To access your application only through a secured connection, select the check-box Access this application only through Secured connection (https) from the Application Settings dialog.  Click Save button to save the configurations.
