Tags:

Overview

Use the Form/View permalink if you do not want to share your application with users but just want to send them a link to submit form data or view data or to link the form/view in your website/blog.

Form Permalink

To get the permalink of a form,

  1. Select the  Form in access mode.
  2. Select the More Actions -> Permalink option from the form header. The Permalink dialog will be displayed, as shown below with the permalink to access your form.
  3. To customize the look and feel of your form, select the link Customize Form Properties & Look and Feel. The customize dialog will provide options to customize the form properties, header,  footer, labels and fields. Changing the properties in this dialog will update the permalink displayed below with the required values.
  4. Copy/Paste the permalink to your website/blog or send it to people who would like to access the form.

Note: If your form is Private, the permalink will prompt for login details. To get a permalink which does not require login, use the Click Here link displayed in the Permalink dialog. You will now find an encrypted code added to the permalink. Use the encrypted permalink to access the form without login.

View Permalink

Use the view permalink, if you do not want to share your application with users but just want to send them a link to view your data or to link the view in your website/blog.

To get the permalink of the view ( all views other than HTML view)

  1. Access the application by selecting Access this application button.
  2. Select the required view.
  3. Select More Actions -> Permalink from the view header. The permalink will be displayed as shown in the screen-shot below. The view accessed through the permalink url will always be up-to-date.

To get the permalink of an HTML view

For an HTML View, the permalink option will be available only in the edit mode.

  1. Select the View tab from your applications Edit mode. (Only the application owner has permission to edit his application)
  2. Select the required HTML view and click on  More Actions -> Permalink from the view header.
  3. The permalink dialog will be displayed with the permalink for the view. The view accessed through the permalink url will always be up-to-date.

Note: By default, the permalink of a private application requires a login to access the form/view. To enable users to access the form/view
without login, you can use the Click Here option. You will now find an encrypted code appended to the existing url. This url can be used
to access the form/view without login.
